Everybody's Business

Why does your business catch the attention of so many
Having others judging you and saying you’re not even worth a penny
Why do humans think they can judge another being
When I’m sure they are just as bad or worse from what we ourselves are seeing
The name calling, the propaganda
And all the rest of the slander
I guess they just need to think or speak of someone negatively
In order to feel good about themselves and what they bring to the table

Most of the talk is probably “hear say” but so what even if it was true
They are no better themselves with the things they do
They steal, they lie, they swear, they might even turn the other way
But again no one is perfect and we learn each and everyday
For when they make their mistakes while we watch from close by
After we figure we knew all along the right road to take….oh my

Just leading to the continuous staring and laughing at another
But when you check, you yourself don’t even have it all together
Because the more time we put into this action
The less time you put into your personal life and satisfaction
In the end whether its jealousy or mere entertainment
It has little or no fulfillment

Drugs

A substance that acts on the nervous system that causes addition through stimulation
This is a drug by definition
Whether it’s legal or illegal is up to the laws
Which are created by man and it’s possible to their own flaws
I don’t think ill ever understand the system
And how it really affects each and every victim

Marijuana is an illegal drug
So we can sweep that under the rug
Cocaine is also on the list
And probably wouldn’t go unnoticed
Alcohol is legal everywhere on the streets
And so many people after a few drinks get into the driving seats
Tired and carelessly under the influence of alcohol
And to this very day I’m still appall

For a substance that acts on the nervous system which takes so many lives
Leaving behind children, husbands, and wives
And we can’t seem to realize the main cons
Alcohol is much worse than a lot of the illegal ones
And the system that I’d never understand gives it life
When we really need to cut down on it like a knife

But it provides a form of entertainment
A sense of fulfillment
It’s another job on the streets
But the fact remains it can kill
And take away John, Jackie, Michelle and even Will
So when you talk about prohibiting
Think about who you might want to see still living

The Voice

Every now and then it speaks to us
Only in a way that listening is a must
Its tells us either no or yes
If to stand still or try to progress
Whether its wrong or whether its right
Whether to retreat or just stand up and fight

No one else can hear it but you
Only you know if what it says is true
Because it comes from deep inside
One of many true friends that come to you to confide
But yet still we consider if we should follow or alternate
Then we think about our fate

Now its what you want the outcome to be
And maybe what the world will see
Can it be your gut feeling showing you the way
Throughout the night or throughout the day
Maybe in reality its God’s way of communicating a message
The message when we are caught center stage
With our biggest concerns and fears
When no one can help us not even our closest peers

The Naked Truth

So often we hear from others “just tell me the truth”
But we both know when they do hear it their heads go through the roof
And even though u knew how bad it could be
It gets even worse when it comes out in the open
Having such an effect it leaves a sour taste of a couple limes
But don’t get me wrong I do believe in telling the truth at all times
Well to tell the naked truth most of the time anyways
Even though I know the harm and hurt it might even raise

Often we don’t know either how to say it or when to say it
But the longer we take the deeper the pit
And the deeper the pit the harder they fall, the more pain they gain
Because by the time you get out you’re back in another situation again

We cover it up with nice words to start
We even omit the worse part
We totally deny any connection with the naked truth
And continue because there is a lack of proof
And to top it off we just say we just don’t want to talk
Because the pressure is all over us like a hawk

For the reality is many of us can’t handle the truth
Whether we are saying it or hearing it
In the end we will react how at the time we see fit
So why ask if you know the possibilities of hearing what you can’t handle is there

I'd Give

I’d rather have rough days with you
Than good times with someone new
I’d stay by you in any and every storm
Rather than be so alone, safe and warm
I’d wait on you my entire life
Than to say I do and have some other woman be my wife
I’d give up all the wealth and all the fame
Just so we both could have the same last name
I’d give up a glimpse of heaven on any day
Just so your smile would never fade away

I’d give up everything your eyes couldn’t bare to see
If I couldn’t have you both and live happily
I’d have little or no pride
Just so people could see your forever by my side
Making sure when you go to bed that there’s nothing you’d want me to do
Because I’d make all your wants, needs and dreams come through
I’d take the IM off of impossible so you can get something even better than the best
So its crystal clear I’m totally different from all the rest
But I just don’t know if I could ever give my life up for you
Because I know I’d be leaving you so lost, so alone, and in this world all sad and blue

If Talk Wasn't So Cheap

Imagine if talk wasn’t cheap
Some people’s bills probably would be steep
Some would need a couple credit cards
And some might even need to have a date with the bill collector
Or on the other hand a lot might not be said
And not everything would be repeat that our minds are feed
Many people could find themselves without jobs
The hypocrites, the parasites and even the jealous snobs

In this world where sometimes your friends are really not your friends
And some enemies turnout to be better when the road you’re on you can’t see the turns and bends
Even though talk is cheap it has the ability to destroy years of love, trust or friendship
Whether it’s true or not before you know it the script has been flip

So what if there was a price tag heavily when negativity is at heart
Especially with the more negative words being higher on the chart
The world could be a much brighter place
With a lot more smiles on each and every face
But don’t get me wrong I’m sure there will be times
Times when things will have to be said no matter if it’s much more than a couple dimes

The obvious still remains that it probably wouldn’t stop it all
And some people will still want to see you take a fall
But having to pay for your every word definitely could make some difference
And just maybe continue to create a bit of good influence
Because our world could go without a lot less negative words
That’s usually can take away someone’s sunshine or deafen you to the sweet singing of the birds

The Game

Hear the Crowd roar
As they can only imagine what else is in store
The shared brilliance, the finesse, the composure, the rhythm that fills the arena with amazement
The seconds you wish you could get back when you blink, oh the excitement
It's not possible that it gets much better than this
Nothing could stop the splendid talent, not the rain, not the snow and certainly not the mist

The drums, the trumpets, the Mexican waves, if only you could experience this atmosphere
No room for mistakes and no time for fear
As the referee makes his call
And everyone's eyes are focused on the ball
It's the moment you've been training for
Almost as if you were in a war
No retreat, no surrender
As you become one on one with your defender

You fake left, then you go right
Before you know it he is out of sight
Then there comes that moment
The adrenaline, the expectation, the desire and at the end the fulfillment
As the ball and your finishing touch have met
Gracefully as you watch the ball hit the back of the net

As you and the entire arena celebrates
And your eyes settle on your teammates
And the possibility is closer of shedding a tear
Then you remember why you are there
It's not really the fame
It's because you love this game

The Pray

Regret

So often we say we live in regret
From the memories that make us upset or the ones that still feel like a threat
Disbelief, pain, a loss anything adverse is where it all comes from
But yet still at the time a decision had to be the outcome

In every regret there is a lesson to be learnt or some sort of upside
So why continue to swim against the current when you can ride with the tide
In many situations you will encounter that cause regret you gain experience
And you gain a bit more intelligence
Because you learn the do's and don'ts and the possibilities of how things really happen
Or even have the opportunity to meet people you wouldn't have laid eyes upon
If you ever wished you didn't go through that thing we call regret we wouldn't know what and who we know

Regret really is an inimical word by society's definition
But for me its a positive forward movement of my knowledge, networking and ambition
Due to every learning experience and new person I come a cross
Even though during the pain and hurt you get so lost
As hard as it is to endeavor
It really helps and stays with you forever

We ask ourselves from time to time what is it that makes us happy in the end
Isn't it the experiences that we can't forget and the people we meet who we call friends
Well good or bad situations or even the ones we call regrets we gain all the above
So why slow ourselves down by trying to recover from it
Instead why not embrace regret and all that it might emit
See it as any normal situation with a bit more pain in order to gain
So there is a part of you that you might need to train
Because in every regret there is a lesson to be learnt or some sort of upside
So why continue to swim against the current when you can ride with the tide

Why Not You?

Can you really be any and everything you want in life
Having a big house, fancy car and a beautiful wife
Known by many and hated by few
Have all the solutions when no one else knows what to do
Knowing all the right people in high places
Having a great family and being able to put smiles on their faces
Well the possibilities are there if you take into consideration your lifestyle
Are you willing to go the extra mile

How much are you prepared to give up and for how long
Maybe a few nights a week with the boys on the town
Or anything that possibly might get in your way
Apply more work and a lot less play
When everyone is out and about and having fun
Your deep in the books and working a ton

How much is too much
Its not as easy as we make it out to be
Because for most people it's only a dream we hope to see
Only since no one has yet found a formula for success
But through hard work, determination and discipline there is access

We are born equal in every form and fashion
And maybe it has to do a lot with our passion
But if you can give up as much as you need to
For as long as you have to
The possibilities are out there if you have a high aim
Because once again people have done it in the past who were born equal and just like us the same
So why not you
Why cant you have it all and fulfill everything in life there is to do

Mistakes

I'm not going to lie or be afraid to say
I've made alot of mistakes in my day
I'm human and not trying to use imperfection as an excuse
But I've tried to do what's right everytime I've ever had to choose
Reality is your not always going to get the right card in your first or even your second pull
And these choices do affect many people
Whether it's good or bad
Someone will feel sad and someone will feel mad
Because when you do make that one choice you can't make the whole world happy

Appreciate the fact a person knows how to make their own choices
And even sound their own voices
Even if you don't like it or it doesn't fit into your expectation
Chances are someday along the line in time you'll be in the same position
Then visa versa will be in effect
No one who is imperfect should judge another who is imperfect
By default we are all imperfect so who's to say who is worse or even different
So i guess we are on the same wave length to a certain extent

So often we forget how short life can be
And the reality that tomorrow we may never see
Life has it's fair share of surprises
Which often may surface in different disguises
We all are no angels and we've all done things we probably shouldn't have
But should that determine how we see each other as an individual

I'm sure our good deeds overweighs our mistakes if we put them side by side in a seat
We all want happiness and the world at our feet
Somewhere along the line we need to forget our needs and wants
Think about someone else first for once
We just need to give more and take less
That's how the human race works at its best
Everyone feels obligated to contribute to each other's living
Because at this point receiving is much better than taking

What is Love

Many of times I ask myself what is love really all about
In theory it’s an intense feeling of deep affection to a person or thing without a doubt
But it’s more than words can describe and deeper than any man can probably say
With constant room for improvement from day to day

Love can be good and love can be bad
It can make you glow or it can drive you mad
Cause when things are good its heaven but when it’s bad it becomes hell
And anyone who has lived it would be able to tell

So many people throw the word love around
Giving it so little value when it is said as bad as it sound
Often they lack the ability to differentiate between loving and being in love
That’s why so many relationships never make it
Because just before it ends they aren’t even sure they even loved you a little bit

Love is easier and more desirable when it’s pure
Without the rules, high expectations, intensity and everything else I’m sure
It usually gets this way when titles are just around the corner or in sight
Then the other half think they have the right to be upset and start a fight


Maybe ill never fully be able to describe love
But I do know love is much easier to be shown that to be explained
So for now I’ll just stick with what I know and give it a rest

Confidence is Everything

Believe it or not
Positive thinking is what it’s all about
Success rarely comes with little or no confidence
But more with a sense of faith, belief and a touch of arrogance
As we all would want success to be constant in our lives
Because with more success comes more confidence in our future strives

Confidence is not about being perfect
It’s about completing what’s ahead of us to the best of your ability in ever aspect
While perfection is all or nothing when it comes to success
And just knowing you can get anything done is half of any process

Who wants to believe and trust in anyone who doesn’t believe in one’s self
Would you rather be a lion for one day or a mouse for life
A tall giant or a small little elf
Having confidence in yourself gives off a positive energy
In whatever form or fashion it maybe
This usually captures the attention of others who will help in what your goal will be

Sometimes it’s not the easiest thing to do even when it comes to fame
As everyday we aren’t always on top of our game
Most of the time it’s because it can be out of our control
Even though it should be our first goal
Confidence is so much more than we probably think
Because it could change everything in a blink or even a wink

Human Nature

Wrong over right comes so natural in human nature
Even though this what we try not to nurture
But there comes a choice in every adventure
From the smallest visions
To the biggest decisions
Whether we want to admit it or not the fact remain
Human nature carries a negative stain

When we speak of human nature we naturally follow it with the doing of wrong
Where we have been using our human nature as an excuse for far too long
Always mentioning the fact that we are human and not perfect
But why can’t human nature be tied to a positive effect
Probably because human minds are naturally negative
With little or no room for a new perspective

It’s so much easier to choose wrong over right when no one is around
Then right is only done or promised when you’re found
Our human nature as we call it is really a choice if we can see it or even if we are inconsequent
It’s a choice of good or bad lead by the imperfection of a negative environment
Coming from the influence of our wants and needs at high steaks
In a world of fast result doing what ever it takes
This is were negative demeanors and imperfection is the outcome
Just as our human nature is what we allow it to become

Pleasing Others

It’s impossible to please everyone at the same time
As it is to please one person all the time
The reality is that’s how life was meant to be
Nothing is a guarantee
Even with the thought of sacrifice
It’s still as unlikely as aiming for a seven with one throw of a dice

With this in mind
It’s easy to fall behind
Since you can’t always be who you really are
This is where inconsistency commences
Due to the fact your actions aren’t guided by what you believe or by your happiness but of someone else’s
Slowly you start to lose track of who you once were
And where you’re heading become so unsure and blur
Then it’s only a matter of time before you fall short
Where most of the time it doesn’t matter to even the people you had at heart

Cause in their eyes you didn’t make them smile
So take a while
Find yourself, find happiness, and find your boundaries and where you’re allowed
Believe in what you do and feel proud
Because it only takes one scenario for everything to turn around
And before you know it what you had before might never be sound
And all your time and efforts would go unnoticed and unrewarded
So try to live your life to the fullest without regret and enjoy everything you ever did

Lifetimes Vs Seasonals

Some people come into your life for a life time
And some people come for one season during your life time
But they all leave foot prints in our hearts
Whether they are good or bad when you part
It’s hard to get to know someone day by day
Just to eventually see them fade away
Probably a good thing everyone doesn’t stay

Most people eliminate themselves which is probably best
And you’re left to figure out the rest
In times of need and times when you’re trying to succeed
It will be revealed who you can trust and who will do you a good deed
Cause lifetimes stay around to help with your heavy loads
While seasonal stay around only when you’re traveling on flat, smooth roads

In this world of fakes, imposters and maybes
It’s not as easy as taking candy from babies
But if you look deep enough you will see
No one ever said it would be easy
Identifying the real from the imposters
The lifetime from the seasonal visitors

They aren’t a lot of lifetimes around
On the other hand a lot of seasonals can be found
The hardest dilemma is to let go of a seasonal who you thought was a lifetime When realizing someone who you thought was a seasonal would actually be there for you everytime
Never the less you keep it real and stay strong
And surround yourself with the ones who really want to stay around
The ones who carry that lifetime bound

Double Standards

Thou shall not kill
Yet still the execution of criminals is not at a stand still
What gives a human the right to take another’s life
To chase after another man’s wife
Forgetting that man shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife or thy neighbor’s ass
But everyday we continue to do it all over again while asking for forgiveness for out past

Thou shall not bear false witness
But yet again we get involve and lie about people’s business
As the fight goes on for gay marriages in our nation
When man should not lie with man as he lay with woman because it’s an abomination
Simple guidelines and rules
And we as people just continue to play the part of a fool

So easy for people in high places to take advantage of the system
Taking no consideration for others while treating them as if they were an item
So who will police the police’s actions
It’s not right to just wait to see people’s reactions
Who will judge the judge’s judgment
While making sure they live up to each and every commandment
Who give an executioner the right to execute
To take a human’s life as if he was as worthless as a dead root

Who makes a soldier’s job okay or even alright
When your duty is to kill on sight
Why go over vows and get wed
If you need more than one woman in your bed
We live so much for our wants and needs for so long
We continue to forget right from wrong
But all the answers we need came from above
And are all written in the book of life

A Perfect World

Imagine a world with everyone the same
Quite honestly I think it would be pretty lame
Having everything guarantee to be perfect
Chances are it might not be worth it
Because in this world there is a place for each and ever individual

Just the words perfect world could make u blind and a bit gullible
having a world with no wants and needs
But then again who would reap our corn and pull our weeds
Who would take up the post of the janitor
Again in a perfect world there would be no need for police or even to be monitor
Once more who would be taking our garbage away
Who decides who sits in the presidents chair everyday

Honestly it sounds like alot more confusion
Caused by a perfect illusion
It Probably is better after all the world is not perfect
As you can see it would probably have a bad effect
So appreciate each and every different race
And the things they bring to the table to make the world a better place
Because however you look at it
The world will never be perfect
Due to the fact diversity and imperfection will always probably be needed

Till It’s Gone

It’s not often that we as all appreciate what we have in life
Usually it takes something painful, sad or tragic to make us come alive
It can be hard to recover or its just way too late
But maybe its just fate

It’s as simple as not showing someone how much you care
Then the next day you wake up to find they are not there
Either by choice or something as cruel as death
Growing up with all your parents wealth
You tend to forget the real important things in life and you become corrupt
Then again it all can go the next day by being robbed or just going bankrupt

Being able to run, jump, hop and smile
Some people haven’t been able to do that in quite a while
Probably because these abilities were taken away
The ability to run, jump, hop and smile all faded away
And yet again that’s just how life can unfold
So everything you can do and have should be treated like gold

While you are young and you are strong you can do anything u imagine
But when you get old all you can do is imagine
There are no promises to waking up being the same as yesterday
So everyday should be a thankful day
Cause life has its ways of rapidly changing when you least expect it for the worst

So take a bit of advice from a gentleman’s thinking
Show appreciation to your love ones or even the ones who give u a little bit of liking
Enjoy and treasure the abilities to walk, talk and even something as simple as love
Because tomorrow doesn’t guarantee none of the above

People

The way I see it is that we as individuals all do what we need to in order to survive
In order to get the most out of life in the environment in which we try to stay alive
Which allows you to stay competitive and up-to-date with the human race
No one ever said it would be easy because life comes at you at any random pace
And the truth is only you can make the difference
Whether it’s the way you carry yourself, your way of thinking, and the paths you choose
Or even something as simple as your own appearance

We often think people try to destroy our happiness
But if you think a bit deeper
You’ll see they only do what makes them happy even if it causes you sadness
It only seems this way due to the interference of our way of life
Or maybe because of the way it makes us look to the world
Then the reactions usually brings the strife
Because to every action
There is an opposite and equal reaction


Being satisfied is one of mankind’s biggest problems
When we have it all either we want more or sometimes we just want less
Having gold and still looking for silver or even gems
Cause greed happens to be in most people’s agenda
Even if it’s bold and upfront or on the backburner

Why is it so easy to do the wrong things when life starts to get a bit rough?
What makes choosing right over wrong so tough?
Do we always need someone watching over us to give it our all?
Life is really just about choices and how you operate overall
Living a life foremost for yourself taking the rights, others and yourself into consideration all at the same time is the way to go about it
While being humble and opened minded
So just believe in what you do and feel proud
